Taharah for Salah
Ghusl
There are certain circumstances when we must have Ghusl before saying Salah, under these circumstances Wudu alone is not enough. These circumstances are:
1. After sexual intercourse between husband and wife.
2. After ejaculation of semen , for example "wet dreams"
3. For women, after menustration and up to 40 days after childbirth.
Ghusl means washing the whole body. The three compulsory Fard aspects of Ghusl are:
1. Rinsing the mouth thoroughly
2. Rinsing the nose up to the nasal bone
3. Washing all parts of the body including hair thoroughly.
the steps to take Ghusl are : Niyyah or intention to do Ghusl to cleanse ourselves from impure or dirty things, wash our hands up to the wrist three times and then wash our private parts thoroughly,make Wudu and finally, pour water on all parts of the body including our hair and wash our whole body three times.
